For a whopping $3.75 million, a 1979 O-Pee-Chee Wayne Gretzky rookie card has been sold today. The previous record held was $1.29 million, in December 2020, for another version of the same card.
According to the PSA report, these two cards are the only of their kind, that has been graded by them. This is definitely exciting news and pushes the envelope of what is possible in terms of sales in the sports collectibles category.
