The Manchurian Candidate (1988) 2-Disc LaserDisc Set - Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Angela Lansbury - MGM/UA - EX

Vintage classic 1962 Cold War political thriller The Manchurian Candidate, starring Frank Sinatra, Laurence Harvey, Janet Leigh, and Angela Lansbury in an Oscar-nominated performance.

Directed by John Frankenheimer, this eerily prescient cinematic masterpiece tells the story of a U.S. Army platoon captured during the Korean conflict and subjected to experimental brainwashing in Manchuria. Returning home as an unwitting sleeper agent and decorated war hero, Raymond Shaw (Laurence Harvey) is primed to commit a high-profile political assassination under the sinister control of his domineering mother (Angela Lansbury). Meanwhile, fellow soldier Major Bennett Marco (Frank Sinatra) races against time to unravel the terrifying conspiracy before it's too late.

This 2-disc extended play (CLV) release from MGM/UA Home Video (Catalog # ML101369) includes an exclusive interview with Frank Sinatra, John Frankenheimer, and George Axelrod.
