The Day of the Jackal (1973) LaserDisc - Edward Fox - MCA Universal Home Video - 2-Disc Set - VG

Vintage Fred Zinnemann acclaimed political thrill-masterpiece The Day of the Jackal, based on Frederick Forsyth’s best-selling novel. Starring Edward Fox as "The Jackal," a cold, suave British assassin hired by the underground French OAS organization to assassinate French President General Charles DeGaulle. The film brilliantly contrasts the Jackal's meticulous, cold-blooded preparations with the desperate, high-stakes investigation led by the French police to uncover his identity before he strikes. Co-stars Michel Lonsdale, Alan Badel, Tony Britton, Cyril Cusack, Eric Porter, and Delphine Seyrig.

This 2-disc extended play release from MCA Universal Home Video (Catalog # 11004) spans 3 sides and features digital sound encoding and CX noise reduction.
